illustrator : Pathfinder effects

Pathfinder effects allows us to create new shapes with ease of overlapping objects.

we can apply the Pathfinder effect using the Effects menu or the Pathfinder panel.

Pathfinder effects in the Effects menu can only be applied to groups and layers.

although we have been applying effects, we still can choose and edit the original object.

we can also use the Appearance panel to modify or remove the effect.

Pathfinder Pathfinder effects in the panel can be applied to any combination of objects, groups, and layers.
The combination made the final form when we click the button Pathfinder, after that, we can not edit the original object.
If the result of effects on multiple items, they are automatically grouped together.

Apply a Pathfinder effect using the Effects menu
Do one of the following:
Group together objects that will be used, and select group.
Move objects that we want to use into a separate layer, and the target layer.
Choose Effect> Pathfinder and Pathfinder selecting securities.
To quickly apply the same effect Pathfinder again, select Effects> Apply.
Apply a Pathfinder effect using the Pathfinder panel
Select the object that we will apply the effect.
To apply effects to groups or group Pathfinder, the target group or layer.


Add an outline of all objects as if they were objects, a single join.
The resulting paint form attribute from the object attributes to take over.
The intersection trace the outline of the area overlapped by all objects.
Exclude all traces of objects non overlapping regions, overlap and make regions transparent.
Where even the number of objects overlap, the overlap becomes transparent.
Where an odd number of overlapping objects, overlap becomes filled.
Reduce the object window / dialog leading from the back of the object.
we can use this command to remove the illustration field by adjusting the stacking order.
Minus Back reducing the objects in the rear of the object window / dialog forefront.
